Bilawal Zardari Defends Pakistan’s Nuclear Legacy and Stresses Independent Foreign Policy
Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, while addressing the media, reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to its independent foreign policy, particularly amid the ongoing geopolitical tensions between the U.S. and China.
Bilawal highlighted the significance of India’s representation at a recent global event following an invitation to the Chinese president, stating that Pakistan’s foreign policy stands independent of external pressures.
He proudly affirmed Pakistan’s nuclear assets and missile technology as a gift from Zulfikar Ali Bhutto and a legacy of Benazir Bhutto. “The PPP will never compromise on these assets or Pakistan’s nuclear program,” Bilawal stated firmly.
Addressing rumors of PPP joining the cabinet, Bilawal dismissed the idea outright. He also expressed confidence in Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif completing his tenure with an optimistic “InshaAllah!”
On judicial matters, Bilawal commented that judges should focus on facilitating their colleagues and emphasized that only Parliament has the authority to amend the 26th amendment, rejecting interference from other institutions.
