Bilawal Warns of Rising Terror Threat, Calls for National Unity

Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari has raised alarms over the resurgence of terrorism in Pakistan, warning that global powers and adversaries are taking advantage of internal divisions.
Addressing the National Assembly during a debate on the Jaffer Express attack, Bilawal strongly condemned terrorism and reminded the House of the sacrifices made by Pakistanis in the war against militancy. He recalled that his mother, Benazir Bhutto, was martyred due to terrorism and that even he had faced a kidnapping attempt.
Bilawal lamented that despite successfully combating extremism in the past through the National Action Plan (NAP), Pakistan has lost its hard-earned gains. He warned that the flames of terrorism have reignited and that the country is facing an even more dangerous phase.
He accused foreign elements of backing terrorist groups to destabilize Pakistan, particularly in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan. He stressed that terrorists, whether religious extremists or Baloch insurgents, have no ideology or political motive but merely seek to spread fear and disrupt Pakistan’s progress.
Calling for a renewed national consensus, Bilawal urged all political parties to set aside their differences to confront the growing threat. “If we do not unite now, we will only make it easier for our enemies to succeed in their agenda,” he warned.
