Bangladeshi Public Sides with Pakistan Over India – Reveals Gallup Survey
A recent survey by Gallup Pakistan has revealed surprising public opinion trends in Bangladesh, showing a notable preference for Pakistan over India.
According to the data, 46% of Bangladeshis consider Pakistan a close friend, while only 11% view India as such. In contrast, 47% of the respondents labeled India as an enemy, reflecting growing discontent and diplomatic distance.
During the recent Pakistan-India standoff, 54% of Bangladeshis supported Pakistan, while merely 9% stood with India. Furthermore, 46% believed Pakistan emerged victorious in the conflict, whereas only 6% gave the edge to India.
This shift in perception highlights a warming relationship between Bangladesh and Pakistan, indicating renewed regional alliances and shared sentiments among Muslim-majority nations.
