Bangladesh Signals Strong Opposition to Indian Aggression Against Pakistan
Amid growing regional tensions following threats of Indian aggression toward Pakistan, a strong reaction has emerged from Bangladesh, with warnings that Dhaka will not remain a silent spectator if war breaks out.
Retired Major General A.L.M. Fazlur Rahman, a close aide of Bangladesh’s Chief Advisor Mohammad Yunus, stated in a bold social media post that if India attacks Pakistan, Bangladesh should strike India’s seven northeastern states and seize control.
Fazlur Rahman went further to suggest that Bangladesh should initiate a formal military alliance with China, emphasizing that this is the right time to teach India a lesson as it seeks to dominate regional rivals.
The statement has gained rapid traction on Bangladeshi social media, with many users voicing support for stronger regional alignment and military preparedness against Indian aggression. International observers have also taken note of the rapidly evolving geopolitical tensions in South Asia.
While the Bangladeshi government has not issued an official statement, the remarks by such a high-profile figure have added weight to growing concerns about a wider regional conflict.
