Ali Amin Gandapur Rejects Constitutional Amendment, Plans Nationwide Protest
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur has voiced strong opposition to the recent constitutional amendment, accusing the government of undermining the independence of the judiciary. During a press conference, Gandapur stated, “We do not accept this amendment; it is a direct attack on judicial independence, and we condemn it.”
He further criticized the government for making such changes in secrecy, claiming, “This proves I was right in identifying traitors within the system. These kinds of amendments are always done in the dark.”
Gandapur also announced a countrywide protest, saying, “This time, we will bring people from all over Pakistan. We will block the country and will not stop until we free the nation from this government.”
The Chief Minister made it clear that those within his party who voted in favor of the amendment would be removed. “Cowards have no place in our party,” he declared, adding that the protest would continue until the government is ousted.
