Ali Amin Gandapur: Military Operations Failed, Afghan Government Ready for Talks

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur has said that military operations have repeatedly failed to resolve the issue of terrorism, and instead, the situation has worsened. “We’ve always said that dialogue with Afghanistan is the only way forward, and now the Afghan side has responded positively,” he stated.
He further mentioned that although initiating talks is a federal mandate, the provincial government has taken the first step, and this week, names of tribal delegates will be sent to the federal government.
The Chief Minister stressed that civilian casualties during anti-terror operations are unacceptable and that peace must be achieved through negotiations, not force. He reaffirmed that both he and the PTI founder have always promoted dialogue as the solution.
Gandapur also commented on the state of cricket in Pakistan, saying that the federal government has destroyed all institutions, including sports. “Now, even winning against India seems impossible,” he added.
He concluded by stating that consultations with tribal communities have already taken place and that the peace process through negotiations will begin soon.
