Al-Aqsa Under Threat? PA Accuses Israel of Illegal Excavations

The Palestinian Authority has accused Israel of conducting illegal excavations beneath the courtyard of Al-Aqsa Mosque, claiming that the process is causing severe damage to Islamic archaeological remains.

According to the statement, these historic remains are undeniable proof of Muslims’ legitimate and historical right to Al-Aqsa Mosque, which Israel is deliberately trying to erase.

A video circulating on social media shows individuals breaking large stones after excavation inside the mosque compound. The Palestinian Authority has condemned Israel’s actions as a blatant violation of international laws and agreements, further alleging that the ultimate goal is to erase Islamic identity and replace Al-Aqsa Mosque with a Jewish temple.
