Abrar Ahmed and Kamran Ghulam Rejoin Pakistan Test Squad for Bangladesh Series; Changes Expected
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has confirmed that cricketers Abrar Ahmed and Kamran Ghulam have rejoined the national Test squad ahead of the second Test match against Bangladesh. Both players were previously released from the squad to participate in matches against Bangladesh A and were not included in the first Test.
In a further boost to the team, star fast bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi has also rejoined the squad after temporarily leaving to be with his family following the birth of his son. Afridi’s return is expected to strengthen Pakistan’s bowling attack significantly.
Additionally, fast bowler Aamir Jamal has been recalled to Rawalpindi, although his participation in the second Test remains uncertain due to ongoing fitness concerns. The PCB has indicated that his inclusion in the playing XI will depend on his recovery.
With the return of key players and fitness assessments underway, sources within the PCB suggest that two to three changes may be expected in Pakistan’s playing XI for the upcoming match. The changes are anticipated to bring fresh energy and strategy to the team as they face off against Bangladesh in the crucial Test series.
