7 European Countries Where Students Can Easily Transition to PR

For many international students, studying in Europe is not just about earning a degree — it’s a gateway to long-term settlement and career building. If you’re planning to study and eventually live in Europe, these seven countries offer some of the smoothest transitions from student visas to permanent residency

1. France:
After graduation, students can apply for the “APS” temporary residence permit, valid for 24 months. During this time, they can look for a job or start a business — a step toward PR.

2. Germany:
Germany offers free education and strong job prospects. Post-graduation, students can apply for an 18-month Job Seeker Visa. A job offer can lead to an EU Blue Card, followed by permanent residency.
