42 Police Officers Suspended in Orakzai for Refusing Duty, Inquiry Ordered
In a significant disciplinary action, 42 police personnel in Orakzai district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa have been suspended after they failed to report for checkpoint duty despite formal orders.
According to a police statement, the suspended officials include 4 acting Sub-Inspectors, 3 Assistant Sub-Inspectors, 2 Havaldars, and 33 field constables. The refusal to obey duty orders has led the authorities to set up an inquiry committee headed by the SP Investigation.
The committee is tasked with seeking written explanations from the suspended officers. This incident raises serious concerns about discipline within the force and the implementation of state writ in sensitive tribal districts.
