4-Year-Old Boy Dies After Ingesting Poison in Mardan; Girl in Critical Condition

A heartbreaking incident took place in the Rustam Tehsil of Mardan District, where children allegedly consumed a poisonous substance while playing.
According to Rescue 1122 sources, a 4-year-old boy named Alyan lost his life on the spot, while a young girl was left in critical condition.
The Rescue medical team reached the site, provided first aid, and shifted the injured girl to Type-D Hospital Rustam. Due to her deteriorating condition, she was later referred to MMC Mardan for further treatment.
Local residents say the tragedy occurred when the children mistakenly ingested the poisonous substance, thinking it was food or candy.
Police have launched an investigation into the incident, while locals are urging authorities to raise awareness about keeping hazardous materials out of children’s reach.
