150 Pakistani Companies Participate in China Trade Fair, Boosting Investment Prospects
In a major international event, around 150 Pakistani companies are taking part in the China International Fair for Trade in Services (CIFTIS) 2024, currently being held in Beijing. The event, running from September 12 to 20, features over 2,000 companies from 107 countries, showcasing the growing opportunities in a rapidly evolving global economy.
The participation of Pakistani companies in CIFTIS 2024 is viewed as an excellent opportunity for boosting investment in Pakistan. During his virtual address to the fair, Pakistan’s Investment and Privatization Minister Abdul Aleem Khan highlighted the significant scope for investment in Pakistan’s agriculture, livestock, food processing, and minerals sectors.
Khan emphasized the potential for business-to-business collaboration between Pakistani and Chinese companies. He also pointed out the visible development in transport, infrastructure, energy, and communication sectors under the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), further positioning Pakistan as an attractive investment destination. Pakistan, keen to capitalize on opportunities in special economic and export processing zones, has assured full support to Chinese investors, further strengthening the bond between the two nations.
