In a significant anti-corruption move, Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Ali Amin Gandapur has dismissed 10 senior officials of the health department, including ex-Director General Health Services and other top-level officers, over charges of corruption, incompetence, and administrative mismanagement.

As per the official notification, the dismissals are based on findings of a comprehensive inquiry, which concluded that the officials were involved in serious violations of rules under the KP Government Servants (Efficiency and Discipline) Rules, 2011.

Each dismissed officer has been served a show-cause notice demanding Rs. 170 million (17 crore) as part of recovery for damages caused to the public exchequer. Among the dismissed are:

  • Ex-DG Health Services

  • Additional DG Health

  • Ex-Director Public Health

  • Drug Inspector

  • Logistics Officer

  • Accountant

  • Computer Operators

  • Pharmacy Technician

The accused were previously given the opportunity to present their defense, but the inquiry committee found sufficient evidence against them. Based on these recommendations, CM Gandapur ordered their removal and initiated financial recovery.

The officials have been given 10 to 14 days to respond. If no response is received, it will be treated as acceptance of guilt and unilateral legal action will be taken.

This move marks one of the largest disciplinary actions in KP’s health sector in recent years, signaling the provincial government’s tough stance against corruption and inefficiency.
