Trump Acknowledges Pakistan’s Importance, Reveals Role in Averting Nuclear War with India
In a revealing interview with a major U.S. news outlet, former President Donald Trump stressed that Pakistan cannot be ignored in regional or global diplomacy. Trump shared that India and Pakistan were dangerously close to a nuclear conflict, describing a situation where missiles were being launched “with maximum force.”
“These are not small nuclear powers. They’re both major nuclear powers,” Trump warned, emphasizing the devastating potential of unchecked escalation.
He said his administration made timely interventions. “We had excellent talks with Pakistan. They are smart people. They make amazing things,” Trump noted. He revealed that trade talks were initiated with Pakistan during his presidency and underscored that Pakistan is eager to expand commercial ties with the U.S.
Trump mentioned he instructed his team to maintain communication with both Islamabad and New Delhi, suggesting that commerce and diplomacy were the best paths forward.
He also made statements on Iran and Russia, showing a continued interest in shaping international diplomacy.
