President Zardari Confers National Awards on 104 Individuals for Excellence and Service

President Asif Ali Zardari announced the conferment of Pakistan’s national awards on 104 individuals, including both Pakistanis and foreigners, for their outstanding contributions across various fields. The announcement was made on the occasion of Pakistan’s 78th Independence Day, with the awards to be presented at an official ceremony on March 23, 2025.

Among the recipients, the Nishan-i-Pakistan was posthumously awarded to former President and Prime Minister Zulfikar Ali Bhutto Shaheed for his exceptional public service. Olympian Arshad Nadeem, who recently won a gold medal at the Paris Olympics, was honored with the Hilal-i-Imtiaz, while mountaineer Murad Sadpara received the Sitara-i-Imtiaz in the sports category.

The president also recognized the contributions of individuals in fields such as literature, science, medicine, and public service. Notably, the Hilal-i-Pakistan was awarded to Saudi Prince Abdulaziz Bin Salman Al Saud for his services to Pakistan, and the Nishan-i-Imtiaz was posthumously conferred on the renowned poet Nasir Kazmi.
