Non-Bailable Arrest Warrant Issued for Bushra Bibi in 190 Million Pounds Case
Accountability court issued a non-bailable arrest warrant for Bushra Bibi in connection with the 190 million pounds reference case being heard at Adiala Jail. The decision came after Bushra Bibi failed to appear in court once again, despite filing a plea for exemption on medical grounds, which the court dismissed.
During the hearing, defence lawyers submitted a list of 16 witnesses, including prominent individuals like the Vice Chancellor of Government College University Lahore and former officials from the Cabinet Division and HEC. However, lawyers from the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) termed the submission a delaying tactic, urging the court to proceed with testimonies before questioning the accused.
The court has reserved its decision on when to summon the witnesses and adjourned the case until November 26. Meanwhile, PTI founder Imran Khan, who was present in court along with his family members, was directed to submit his statement.
