Tempers erupted at Dodger Stadium as fans hurled baseballs and trash during the seventh inning of the San Diego Padres’ 10-2 victory over the Los Angeles Dodgers in Game 2 of the NL Division Series. The disturbance led to a 12-minute delay, as Padres left fielder Jurickson Profar became the target of rowdy spectators.

The situation escalated after Profar robbed Dodgers star Mookie Betts of a home run, leading to verbal exchanges between the outfielder and the crowd. As tensions mounted, fans began tossing debris onto the field, prompting players and managers to express their discontent.

“That’s just not acceptable,” Padres manager Mike Shildt remarked, condemning the behavior of the fans. Dodgers manager Dave Roberts, equally appalled, commented, “I’ve never seen anything like that.”

The tension was not confined to the stands. Words were exchanged between Padres slugger Manny Machado and Dodgers starter Jack Flaherty after Flaherty hit Fernando Tatis Jr. Despite the chaos, the Padres maintained their lead, with Yu Darvish continuing his dominant performance.
