Deputy PM Ishaq Dar Launches 21 New NADRA Centers and Mobile Registration Units in Balochistan
In a significant move aimed at improving public access to identity registration services in Balochistan, Deputy Prime Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar on Wednesday inaugurated 21 new NADRA registration centers along with six mobile registration vehicles during a ceremony held at the Chief Minister’s Secretariat in Quetta. The event was attended by notable dignitaries, including National Assembly Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, Federal Minister for Commerce Jam Kamal Khan, and Chief Minister of Balochistan Mir Sarfaraz Bugti, along with several provincial ministers, parliamentary secretaries, and NADRA officials.
Addressing the gathering, Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar expressed his satisfaction with the establishment of these new centers and mobile units, which are expected to greatly enhance the accessibility of NADRA services in the province, particularly in its remote areas. He emphasized the need for federal institutions to work closely with the provincial government to ensure that these services reach every corner of Balochistan.
Chief Minister Mir Sarfaraz Bugti also spoke at the ceremony, highlighting the challenges faced by residents in remote areas in obtaining registration and identity cards. He expressed optimism that the new NADRA centers and mobile registration vehicles would significantly alleviate these issues, making it easier for people, especially the elderly and women, to access these vital services without having to travel long distances.
This initiative is part of the government’s ongoing efforts to bring essential services closer to the people, ensuring that even those in the most distant and underserved areas of Balochistan can benefit from government facilities.
